DC Designer Bombshell Action Figures

Filled with enough toys, action figures, statues and collectibles to drive any fan into a drool-inducing manic meltdown, DC Collectibles made a stellar showing at the annual North American International Toy Fair event held at the Jarvis Center in New York City.

Unveiling its 2017 lineup, DC Collectibles showcased a number of amazing new products set to hit stores this year. Some of the hottest items included the Bombshells!

Based on the popular DC Collectibles statue line that reimagines DC's most iconic Super Heroes and Super Villains as 1940s pinup-style character designs, the next wave of 6.75" action figures includes Batgirl, Mera, and Hawkgirl.

Girl Power Book

DC super heroes: my first book of girl power showcases the strength, intelligence, kindness, and bravery of the women in the DC universe.

From Wonder Woman’s ability to find the truth to Batgirl’s sharp mind to Black Canary’s powerful voice, DC’s super heroines are wonderful role models.

Cool, classic art makes for a fun, colorful package.

Convergence: The Return of Hawkwoman

The one and only Shayera Thal a.k.a. Hawkwoman, returns to the DC Multiverse in the pages of Convergence: Hawkman #1. Written by Jeff Parker, and illustrated by Tim Truman, Enrique Alcatena, and John Kalisz, Thanagar's winged wonder, and one of the original redheads of this blog, steals the thunder from Hawkman in the first part of this 2-part mini-series titled "Revelations."  Let's hope that Shayera's return is something more permanent.

Guess Who's Back!

It is happening! Hawkwoman will soon be introduced to the DCnU in the pages of "The Savage Hawkman." The mysterious woman in issue #9 is indeed our beloved winged redhead, and this is neither Shiera Sanders nor Kendra Saunders; we are talking about the authentic, one and only Thanagarian Shayera Thal!

The character sketch above by artist Joe Bennett indicates she is not a cop anymore, but a Princess, which is fine by me. Her suit of armor is regal, and note that as opposed to Hawkman, her wings are not feathered but metallic -probably Nth metal. She also carries a mace and a sword.  I can't wait for her debut, and neither should you, because when that happens, a fourth redhead will make her official return to this blog!

Who is the Mystery Woman?

Just a few weeks ago, the revelation that Kendra Saunders will be the Hawkgirl from Earth-2 seemed to cloud the hope that the Thanagarian Hawkwoman would ever be seen again.  Suddenly, this week, out of nowhere, in the pages of The Savage Hawkman #9, the winged hero's armor started to do something it had never done before: Receiving an incoming transmission!  Who is this woman with red hair?
