In 1977 DC Comics and Warner Books published the most astonishing calendar: "The 1978 Calendar of Super-Spectacular Disasters". The premise was original and exciting. Every month of the year, the DCU super heroes would fight a menace NOT from their usual gallery of super-villains, and each event escalated to the point where on Dec 31st the mystery manipulator would make the Moon crash with the Earth; and even better, all year long, we were able to collect clues to his identity! Pretty awesome, right?
In the month of May, while in Washington D.C., the Dynamite Duo Batgirl and Robin fight villainess Poison Ivy, who comes accompanied by Atom's foe Jason Woodrue, better known as the Floronic Man. Enjoy this piece by two of my favorite artists of all time Mr. Dick Dillin and Mr. Frank McLaughlin.
