After much speculation and lots of wishful thinking, confirmation has arrived: Mera is coming to Smallville! Entertainment Weekly has announced that Russian actress Elena Satine will portray the role of Mera in episode 9 of Smallville's final season. Satine's credits include guests appareances in "Cold Case" and the remake of "Melrose Place" (which used to be my favorite back when Mondays were a bitch). Episode 9 also marks the return of Aquaman (played by Alan Ritchson) to the series, this time as a married man; married to none other than our dear Mera. Let's cross our fingers and hope to see some hard-water action in our TVs!
