Hawkwoman was another character that made the cut in the relaunched and unified "Post Crisis on Infinite Earths" History of the DC Universe. The Silver Age Hawks appear in issue number 2 of the mini-series and their description by Marv Wolfman is short, sweet, and straightforward. Art by the amazing George Pérez.
Too bad that just a couple of years later Katar and Shayera's history was erased from the new continuity and revamped with "Hawkworld", a mini-series that was intended to tell the origins of Hawkman and Hawkwoman, but then it was decided by editorial that the events happened like five minutes ago. This was the beginning of one of the most convoluted and confusing character continuities in the entire DC Universe.
