Live Action Batgirl :: Through the Ages

Today is dedicated the Damsel of Gotham in her different live action incarnations. Enjoy!

Yvonne Craig
This is the most beloved version of Batgirl amongst long time fans. Yvonne Craig's Batgirl was a great addition to the Batman live action series, and of course, brings everyone back to their childhood. She came pretty much at the same time as the comic book character, and it was a success. What I liked most about this Batgirl was that she had her own "minibatcave", and her batcycle would come out from a fake wall in an alley... cool!
Alicia Silverstone
This is probably the most hated incarnation of Batgirl by fans, and even though my feelings for this character are not that extreme, I have to say that it had many, many, many flaws. Alicia Silverstone was Batgirl in 1997's "Batman & Robin". There were just so many things wrong with her: Not only was she blonde, her name was Barbara Wilson, and she was Alfred's niece; she wore the cowl for about three minutes during the whole movie, and let's be realistic... she looked a little "as if" for a crimefighter (sorry, Alicia).

Dina Meyer
Finally, here is my favorite incarnation of Batgirl. Dina Meyer starred as the all-knowing Oracle in the WB Series "Birds of Prey"; but in episodes one and eight, we were able to see her in her previous life wearing the cape and cowl; and I have to say, that even though those were short moments, they were worth gold. She was just astonishing!
