Barbara Gordon is back as Batgirl, the role she first made famous in 1966, and left after being paralyzed by a bullet and later adopting the identity of computer guru Oracle. With this reboot, Babs is in full health and embracing her inner and outer bat. "I incorporated the bat-logo imagery into her boots, her belt, the brooch [on her cape]." says Lee. Adds DC Comics VP Chiarello, "She's got a classic look, but she's updated. Adam Hughes will be drawing covers for [her comic book which will be written by fan-favorite Gail Simone] , so I'm curious to see what he'll do with the character." But what about Oracle? "That's up to the individual creators," says a tight-lipped Lee.
